TJ Harris is a Gary, Indiana native and Los Angeles-based actor, film producer, and entrepreneur. As the Founder & CEO of InstinctǐVision Films, LLC, a Chicago-based production company founded in 2021, he’s redefining what independent filmmaking can look like—delivering big-budget value through low-budget ingenuity.

Harris also serves as a Producer and Executive Partner with Cottage Grove Productions, where he co-leads projects that merge artistry, business strategy, and community-centered storytelling. Together, the two companies have produced the acclaimed short film Cottage Grove, which earned two Gold Telly Awards, a Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy nomination, and AMC+ distribution.

A graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University (MFA Acting) and the Miller College of Business at Ball State University, Harris blends artistry with analytics. With over a decade of experience as a global compensation consultant, he brings a precision-driven business mindset to the emotional craft of storytelling—building films, teams, and systems designed to last.

TJ believes the producer's greatest responsibility is designing the conditions in which storytellers can do their best work. Through InstinctǐVision, he combines filmmaking, operations, and strategic leadership to build systems that empower artists, strengthen productions, and redefine what's possible for independent film.
